Beginning September 1, 2020, the Rutgers University–New Brunswick Office of Summer and Winter Sessions will no longer be participating in the Rutgers Gifted Education Certificate Program and conference. All inquiries should be directed to the Rutgers Graduate School of Education.
Gifted and talented children deserve an education appropriate to their needs and talents – and our society stands to benefit greatly from the contributions these individuals can make. Yet, in an era of budgetary shortfalls and massive funding cuts, the needs of these very able students may not receive the attention that they deserve.
- Help educators and parents meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of gifted students
- Provide state-of-the-art professional development aligned with state and national guidelines for educators, counselors, and administrators
- Assist school districts in developing cost-effective ways to meet state mandates for gifted education assessment and programming
