Beginning September 1, 2020, the Rutgers University–New Brunswick Office of Summer and Winter Sessions will no longer be participating in the Rutgers Gifted Education Certificate Program and conference. All inquiries should be directed to the Rutgers Graduate School of Education.
The Joyce VanTassel-Baska Scholarship Endowment funds annual $1,000 scholarship awards in honor of Dr. VanTassel-Baska's contributions to the field of gifted education and to the Rutgers Gifted Education Certificate Program, and in support of educators who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in working with gifted learners. These scholarships are available to students who have been accepted to the Gifted Education Certificate Program,
The new Division of Continuing Studies (DoCS) Scholarships provide up to five $1,000 scholarship awards to educators taking their first course in the certificate series.
We will begin accepting applications for the 2020 scholarship on September 1. The scholarship awards will be announced at the annual Rutgers Gifted Education Conference in November. Awards are applied toward recipients' Gifted Education Certificate Program tuition and fees for the coming year.
To be considered for a scholarship:
- You must apply and be admitted to the Rutgers Gifted Education Certificate Program.
- Once you have been accepted to the certificate program, you can submit an application for a scholarship.
Donations to the Joyce VanTassel-Baska Endowed Scholarship fund may be made by check, payable to the Rutgers University Foundation, with a memo note “for the Joyce VanTassel- Baska Scholarship,” and mailed to the Rutgers University Foundation, Accounting Department, 120 Albany St., Suite 201, New Brunswick, New Jersey 08901
